Overview

GoodVibe Daily (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates goodvibedaily.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account data — If you sign in, we process authentication details such as email address and, if you use a social or OAuth provider, the name, email, and profile image that provider shares with us.
• Journal content — Notes, moods, tags, and related metadata you save in Journal.
• Meditation data — Session logs (for example duration, mood, reflection text) and optional distraction/thought notes and tags you save on Meditate.
• Quote submissions — If you suggest a quote while signed in, we store the text you submit, the author name you provide, category, whether it is original or attributed, an optional source note, your account display name, optional pen name, email notification preference, and submission status for editorial review. If you opt in, we email you when your submission is reviewed.
• Messages — If you email us, we receive the content of your message and your email address so we can reply.

Information collected automatically

• Technical and usage data — Browser type, device type, approximate region, referring URLs, pages viewed, and similar logs from our hosting provider and analytics tools.
• Local device storage — Preferences such as theme, language, and some offline or draft data may be stored in your browser (for example localStorage) so features work when you return.

You can browse many public pages without creating an account. Account features (cloud sync of Journal and Meditate data) require sign-in.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Site and its features
• Authenticate you and sync your Journal and Meditate data across devices when you are signed in
• Understand aggregate traffic and fix errors (analytics)
• Respond to messages you send us
• Review quote submissions and, if approved, publish them with appropriate attribution
• Protect security and prevent abuse
• Show advertising if and when we enable ad networks (see Advertising below)
• Comply with legal obligations

Where data is stored and processors

Account authentication and user-generated Journal/Meditate content and quote submissions are stored using Supabase (database and auth infrastructure). Hosting and content delivery may be provided by our web host and CDN. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep you signed in where applicable, measure traffic, and—if advertising is enabled—help deliver and measure ads. You can block cookies in your browser settings; some features may then work less reliably.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on parts of the Site to understand how visitors use GoodVibe Daily (for example pages viewed and approximate traffic sources). Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy. You can limit Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

We may use Google AdSense or similar partners to display ads and keep the Site free. Ads are not guaranteed to appear on every page or in every region. When ads are active, Google and partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and personalise ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

If you are in a region that requires consent for non-essential cookies (for example EEA/UK), GoodVibe shows a consent choice before Analytics or advertising cookies are used. You can choose “Allow analytics & ads” or “Essential only.” Essential preferences such as theme and language still work either way.

Third-party services

The Site may load fonts, images, or APIs from third parties (for example font providers or stock image services such as Pexels). Those services may receive technical request data (such as IP address) under their own policies. We only share personal data with third parties as needed to run the Site, as described here, or with your direction (for example when you choose an OAuth sign-in provider).

Retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may delete Journal or Meditate entries in the product where that control exists. You may request account or data deletion by emailing us. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period for security and operational reasons. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider settings.

Your choices and rights

• Update or delete content you saved in Journal or Meditate using the Site controls where available
• Sign out and clear site data in your browser
• Email hello@goodvibedaily.com to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold, or to close your account
• Use the advertising and Analytics opt-outs linked above

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We will respond to valid requests within a reasonable time.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data (including HTTPS and access controls on our backend). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

International transfers

We are based in Hong Kong. Service providers may process data in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
